Bushy is Sick

All of a sudden Bushy started showing symptoms of being sick.  Lost interest in playing.  She started defecating in an unusual liquid form instead of the usual solid form.  The biggest tell was that she could not stand properly and maintain her balance.  Her hind legs  would give out and she would fall flat on the floor.  It was such a sad thing to see.

She brought tears to my eyes seeing her still trying to keep up her spirits.  As usual I could see anticipation in her eyes.  I will be taking her to see a doctor in a while.  I hope my girl would recover soon!

Bushy is a Girl

It had been two weeks since Bushy made a trip to its doctor.  So I decided to take it to see him again.  Finally the day I had been waiting for... to know if Bushy is a girl or a boy.  The doctor finalized it.  For the first time I am calling Bushy a girl!  All this time I had been using "it" instead of "he" or "she" and now I can stop that.

She is playing around nonstop day and night.  But she is a good girl.  When I put her in the box to sleep at night, no trouble after that.  It is like we switched off some circuit.

Doctor decided to give Bushy a little bit of medicine for the worms.  He said that she was almost over it now.  Happy us, are we not Bush-meister?  I am going to publish a new photo of Bushy tomorrow morning.

Two Weeks and Counting

It had been two weeks since Bushy came home for the first time with me.  We are still calling Bushy "it" because we honestly do not know if it is a boy or a girl.  We think that it is a boy... but never know.

Bushy has a doctor's appointment this Saturday.  I am going to ask the doctor to confirm its gender.  Regardless Bushy is now part of our family.

Also I think it is important to note that getting Bushy to drink its Vitamin is getting difficult every day even though I administer it through the dropper just like the doctor recommended.

Bushy is Eating

Well... as the title suggests Bushy is now eating.  At first it was kind of reluctant to chew and eat.  Now a little bit of Marmite on a table spoon of rice can make Bushy go "Meooooooooow!".

Bushy is very active now.  Vitamins may be?  Anyways I am thinking of bringing it a toy to play with.

Starting to Eat

Bushy is starting to eat now.  We tried to get it to eat a little bit of rice mixed with Marmite last night and it refused.  It was simply not used to the idea of chewing its food after being used to drinking it for so long.  We did not budge.  As sad as it may sound we let it go to sleep hungry.

This morning it happened.  Little bit of rice mixed with a bit of Marmite and Bushy ate the whole plate and licked the plate clean as well.  We are also training Bushy to use the litter tray instead of making our living room its toilet.

Healthy as a Kitten

It has been one week since Bushy joined our family.  This is how it posed itself to the camera.

First Visit to the Vet

Bushy started vomiting and it had worms in its barf.  The white, long, string looking worms... they call 'em Round Worms.  It had lost its appetite as well.  I took it to the Vet and got itself an injection and a Vitamin.  The doctor confirmed that Bushy was only 3 weeks old.

A Plea for Mercy

It was a slow day at work and I was on my way home in a Kangaroo Cab.  As usual I stopped on my way near a food vendor to buy myself a late night dinner.  There it was... all terrified and shivering from cold and fear.  A tiny bundle it was, moving in the sewer canal, trying to come out of it, as too deep it was for this little one.  My heart melted like butter on a frying pan and now here it is, from the darkest corner of a sewer canal straight to our hearts; Bushy.  I can still remember the look of anticipation and hope you had in your eyes when you saw me standing next to that food stall, on that one Poya Day, the day that I found you.

Welcome to the family little kitty!
